The award was given to LC by the World HRD Congress at a ceremony held in Pune. This was part of the 9th edition of the Pune Leadership Awards 2022.

World HRD Congress has conferred Lifetime Achievement Awards on LC Singh, Director and Executive Vice Chairman, Nihilent for his outstanding contribution to the IT industry.

The award was conferred at a ceremony held in Pune today. This was part of the 9th edition of Pune Leadership Awards 2022 which is given every year by the World HRD Congress.

According to the citation that was read out during the award ceremony, “The Employer Branding Institute & The World HRD Congress is governed by Global Advisory Council which guides the strategic intent of the congress to its logical success. Your leadership and contribution to the industry are well known. The position that you occupy in the fraternity is strategic and iconic. As a thinker and doer, you are a role model and a believer in change.”

After leaving TCS in 1998, LC joined International Computers India Limited (ICIL) as President and CEO. In 1999, ICIL was renamed Zensar Technologies, and he headed their global operations until he founded Nihilent in 2000. While he was at Zensar, it was adjudged at Level 5 of SEI-CMM, the highest Capability Maturity Model, making it the first Indian IT company appraised at that level.

One of the things that kept LC going was his desire to create a new generation of a business consulting organization that helped enterprises achieve their vision. Nihilent was born against this backdrop. The idea of starting something from zero or nothing.

The long journey is not just about me, but also about the entire founding team and others who contributed during this journey,” LC Singh said after receiving the award.
