Flood-relief Mission Kolhapur
A flood-relief mission was undertaken on 17th and 18th August 2019 by Nihilent CSR Team to support communities devastated by the loss of human lives, cattle, crops, and property due to inundation by the Krishna River and its tributaries as well as extreme precipitation. Our target was the Kurundwad Village lying 55 km East of Kolhapur Town in Southern Maharashtra. The Kurundwad Complex lies close to the boundary between Maharashtra and Karnataka and not far from the confluence of the Krishna River and its tributary – Panchaganga River. We carried over 530 parcels each containing dry food articles including powdered milk, over-the-counter medicines, and water and distributed to the needy populace
